Washingtonian Names Cristina Carvalho One of DC’s Most Powerful Women

Arent Fox Firmwide Managing Partner Cristina A. Carvalho has once again been selected by Washingtonian magazine as one of the "Most Powerful Women in Washington."

The biennial ranking recognizes 150 of the DC area's most influential women in business, law, government, medicine, media, nonprofits, and the arts. A link to the article is here.

Among those recognized in the legal field, Cristina is joined on the list by Supreme Court Justices Amy Coney Barrett, Elena Kagan, and Sonia Sotomayor; DC Court of Appeals Chief Judge Anna Blackburne-Rigsby; US Court of Appeals Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson; and Solicitor General–Designate Elizabeth Prelogar.

Cristina oversees an international practice encompassing commercial transactions, intellectual property, licensing, and technology for leading US and foreign companies. She is admitted to practice law in the United States and Brazil. Throughout her career, she has used her knowledge and experience in the US and Brazil to counsel clients on strategies for navigating different legal systems and cultures to realize opportunities in both mature and emerging markets. Cristina was also recently recognized by Best Lawyers as their Lawyer of the Year for Trademark Law.
