New Ransomware Advisory and Handling Cyberattacks

The event was presented by the ABA International Law Section, Export Controls & Economic Sanctions Committee on March 16, 2021. The ABA International Law Section, National Security Committee in cooperation with the International Trade Bar Association (CITBA) co-sponsored the event. The event “discussed the US Department of Treasury's OFAC Advisory (issued October 1, 2020) highlighting the sanctions risks associated with facilitating ransomware payments on behalf of victims targeted by malicious cyber-attacks.” Kay acted as the moderator for the panel and Matthew participated as one of the panelists.
