Client Work

Nicholas defends and counsels corporate and individual clients in various aspects of labor and employment matters, including wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, retaliation, denial of family and medical leaves, trade secret counseling and disputes, and non-compete, non-solicitation, and nondisclosure negotiation and litigation. His experience includes counseling clients on litigation strategy, conducting research regarding potential causes of action and defenses, drafting complaints and answers, drafting and responding to motions and written discovery, taking and defending depositions, preparing witnesses for deposition and trial testimony, participating in mediations and arbitrations, and drafting employment and separation agreements.

Nicholas has also participated in several internal investigations involving allegations of labor law violations, sexual harassment, discrimination and retaliation, and other workplace misconduct. 

Previous Work

Prior to joining ArentFox Schiff, Nicholas served as an Assistant Corporation Counsel in the Labor and Employment Law and Special Federal Litigation Divisions of the New York City Law Department.  Nicholas also served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Bronx County District Attorney’s Office.  During his tenure, he handled criminal investigations and major felony prosecutions in cases involving official misconduct by public servants and violent crimes. Nicholas is currently an Adjunct Professor of Law at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law where he teaches Lawyering and Legal Writing to 1L students.

Life Beyond the Law

In his spare time, Nicholas enjoys traveling the world with his wife and spending time with his family.  Nicholas fancies himself as a cook who loves to try new techniques and recipes.
