Katie is a Partner in ArentFox Schiff’s Complex Litigation group. Katie represents clients in litigation and regulatory matters primarily in the health care, agriculture, and fashion and retail industries.

Katie’s recent litigation work includes representing medical providers in disputes with commercial payers; representing brand owners in suits to enforce intellectual property rights; and representing regulated entities and trade associations in litigation involving the defense of regulatory approvals of crop protection products and products of biotechnology. Katie has been involved in litigation matters in state and federal court, as well as arbitrations, and is experienced in all phases of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, trials, and appeals. 

Previous Work

After graduating from law school, Katie clerked for the Honorable Beth P. Gesner, United States Magistrate Judge, in the United States District Court for the District of Maryland. Before joining the legal profession, Katie worked on Capitol Hill for former Congressman Thomas M. Reynolds.

Publications, Presentations, & Recognitions

Katie was recognized in the 2021-2024 editions of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch.

Katie is active in pro bono matters. She serves on the Firm’s Pro Bono Committee and received the Albert E. Arent Pro Bono Award for her pro bono work in 2020.

During law school, Katie was a staff member of the American University Law Review and wrote the comment, “Contemplating ‘Cruel and Unusual’: A Critical Analysis of Baze v. Rees in the Context of the Supreme Court’s Eighth Amendment ‘Proportionality’ Jurisprudence,” 58 Am. U. L. Rev. 633 (2009).
