Mr. Miller is licensed in California, England and Wales, and South Africa, and has considerable national and cross-border deal experience in these markets, both in private practice and as lead in-house counsel to a leading North American industrial enterprise. His practice focuses on acquisitions and disposals; corporate finance; corporate and partnership structuring and shareholder and partner arrangements; general corporate advice; supply, distribution, consignment and inventory management arrangements; and other commercial transactions. Mr. Miller has particular focus in the technology, metals, and transportation industries and often acts as counsel to established entrepreneurs and their families, guiding them on personal and business interests, locally and overseas.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Miller was lead in-house counsel to Kloeckner Metals Corporation, one of the largest metals distribution groups in North America, and prior to that practiced as senior mergers and acquisitions solicitor in the leading City of London firm, Berwin Leighton Paisner, LLP.

Arent Fox’s Corporate & Securities group is internationally recognized for providing a wide range of counsel, from advising on private and public offerings of equity and debt and other capital markets transactions, to highly complex mergers involving multinational companies and investments, acquisitions, and dispositions by mid-market and smaller private equity funds.
