Arent Fox Named ‘Best Place to Work’ by Human Rights Campaign
“It is an honor to receive this recognition from the Human Rights Campaign,” said Chairman Mark M. Katz, who also leads the firm’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee. “At Arent Fox, we view diversity as an integral part of the firm’s mission of providing first-rate legal counsel and exceptional service. Values of equality and respect are the foundation of our partnership and the building block to promoting diversity throughout the firm.”
The 2014 CEI rated more than 900 businesses by evaluating their LGBT-related policies and practices, including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBT community. In receiving a 100 percent ranking, Arent Fox was named a Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality.
For nearly a decade, Arent Fox’s chairman has led the firm’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee. The Committee’s primary goal is to recruit, retain, and promote lawyers of color, women, and LGBT lawyers, and to ensure that adequate firm resources are dedicated to their training, mentoring, coaching, and business development.
