Arent Fox Counsels HMSHost in the Acquisition of Assets from Concession Management Services, Inc.
Washington, DC - Arent Fox LLP announced today that it represented HMSHost, a part of Autogrill Group, in the acquisition of the airport-restaurant assets of concessionaire Concession Management Services, Inc. (CMS). The acquisition includes 16 restaurants: 12 at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and four at McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas (LAS).
Partner Jay L. Halpern and associates Amal U. Dave and Marc Rivera represented HMSHost in the transaction. HMSHost operates in more than 120 airports around the world, including previously owned operations at LAX and LAS. The addition of the CMS operations are projected to generate sales of nearly $50 million in 2016. The transaction aligns with HMSHost’s goal to continue strengthening its position as the leader of food & beverage services in airports throughout North America. The restaurants at LAX include Panda Express, two locations of Marmalade Café, Rolling Stone Bar, Loteria Grill, BLD (Breakfast Lunch Dinner), and Wolfgang Puck. The restaurants at LAS include Einstein Bros. Bagels, 360 Gourmet Burritos, Baja Fresh, and Carl’s Jr.
