Roll Call Features Op-Ed by Sen. Byron Dorgan on the 9/11 Commission’s Report

In an opinion piece recently published in Roll Call, Senior Policy Advisor Sen. Byron Dorgan references 28 pages in the 9/11 Commission’s Report that were labeled “Top Secret” by the Bush administration, suggesting that the content of these excluded pages should be made fully available to the American public.

Prior to retiring from the Senate, Sen. Dorgan was able to read the classified section of the report as a Member of Congress, though he could not take notes nor make copies of the content. The op-ed maintains that the information within these pages “is consequential to understanding the full story of the 9/11 attack” and that there is “no justification to withhold this information from the American people.”
