Philip English Speaks to The Hill on Proposed Tax Reform
Arent Fox Senior Government Relations Advisor Philip English spoke to The Hill on the recently proposed tax reform. The GOP plan proposes cutting the income tax rate from 39.6 percent to 35 percent, cutting the corporate tax rate from 35 percent to 15 and cutting the current seven individual tax rates to three.
Phil, a former member of the US House of Representatives and House Ways and Means Committee, said “In my view, the plan advances tax reform by recommitting the White House to a broad vision.” Should the tax reform prove successful, this will be the first tax overhaul since 1986 under Ronald Reagan.
