About the Arent Fox Speakers
Senator Dorgan (D-ND) is a senior policy advisor at Arent Fox and serves as co-chair of the firm’s Government Relations practice. Senator Dorgan served in the US Senate leadership for 16 years, first as Assistant Democratic Floor Leader and then as Chairman of the Democratic Policy Committee. He has had a prolific career in public service at both the state and federal levels. He served as the elected State Tax Commissioner for the state of North Dakota followed by 12 years in the US House of Representatives and 18 years in the US Senate. He is recognized as someone with substantial knowledge in the issues of energy, aviation, agriculture, water policy, Native American issues, and issues dealing with the economy.
For more than 25 years, Dan Renberg has worked in government service or as an advocate before the Congress and the Executive Branch. A former Legislative Director and Deputy Chief of Staff to Senator Arlen Specter (R-PA), and a former Presidentially appointed Member of the Board of Directors at the Export-Import Bank of the United States, Dan has helped numerous clients since joining Arent Fox as a partner in 2003. Dan has provided innovative strategic planning and tireless advocacy in Washington on issues that include health policy, tax policy, energy, trade finance, biomedical research, transportation infrastructure, and economic development.
