Stephen Davis to Appear on Missouri Bar’s 2015 Constitution Day Program Commemorating Voting Rights Act
Arent Fox attorney Stephen Davis will be a featured panelist on the Missouri Bar and HEC-TV’s annual Constitution Day Program on September 17, 2015. Mr. Davis, who is also an adjunct professor of election law at Saint Louis University, will discuss “The 50th Anniversary of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 and Its Current Implications” during the broadcast.
Mr. Davis and his fellow panelists Jason Kander, Missouri Secretary of State; Denise Lieberman Senior Attorney, Voter Protection Program/Advancement Project; Judge Catherine Perrry, United States Chief Judge, Eastern District of Missouri; and Mark Updegrove, Executive Director, the LBJ Library in Austin, Texas will address these issues and then accept questions from Constitution Day participants. This interactive program, in partnership with Public Education and Community Outreach program at the Thomas F. Eagleton Federal Courthouse in St. Louis, allows students in grades 7-12 to learn and think critically about voting rights.
