Construction Fraud & Safety Accidents—Initiatives by the NYC Task Force
Recently, there have been a number of indictments for safety violations by major construction companies. In response to these incidents, a group of New York City-based agencies have formed the Construction Fraud Task Force to address fraud issues and safe work practices in the construction industry.

Meet the Speakers:
Diana Florence, Attorney-in-Charge, New York Construction Fraud Task Force
Diana Florence is the Attorney-in-Charge of the Manhattan District Attorney's Construction Fraud Task Force. As the leader of the citywide task force, she works in collaboration with more than a half dozen city, state, and federal agencies in order to more effectively target fraud and abuse within the construction industry. She has been a prosecutor in the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office for over 20 years and has won awards for her large-scale, industry-wide prosecutions in construction and in the international trafficking of contraband.
Mark Dreux, Partner & Head of the OSHA Practice Group, Arent Fox LLP
Mark is the head of the OSHA Group in Arent Fox’s Labor & Employment Practice and is nationally recognized for his work in occupational safety and health law. He has 25 years’ experience defending companies in all aspects of OSHA and criminal enforcement matters.
Temitope Yusuf, Associate, Arent Fox LLP
Tope is a senior associate in Arent Fox’s Complex Litigation, Labor & Employment, and White Collar practice groups. She frequently advises clients under investigation by the New York County District Attorney’s Office, Department of Justice, and New York Attorney General’s Office. She regularly develops compliance procedures and investigation protocols for clients.
